Fans who have been eagerly awaiting news on Farah Khans next will be pleased to know that the leading lady for Tees Maar Khan has been finalized!

After months of speculations, rumours, and several actresses being linked to the role – including names of fame like Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone and Sonam Kapoor – Farah finally zeroed in on Katrina Kaif to play the role in this joint project by Shirish Kunder and herself.

Allegedly, Kat will play the role of a clueless-wannabe-item girl who will share the same name as director Farah Khan’s real-life daughter. Kat will also star opposite Akshay Kumar and Akshay Khanna.

The Kumar-Kaif jodi has given the box office some mega-hits … as well as some average runners owing to the repetition of genre and flavor of character portrayal. We wonder if they can recreate the magic with Tees Maar Khan? Plus there is Khanna to look forward to. He may not be a major hit in mainstream roles, but there is no denying his success in cameo or supporting roles, more than occasionally those which are consequential to the movie plots.
